Is This Evaluation Right for You?

If you're pregnant and experiencing any of the symptoms below โ€” or you simply want to prepare your body for a smoother birth and a faster postpartum recovery โ€” this evaluation was built for you. Tap any question to learn more.

Leakage is extremely common during pregnancy, but common does not mean it has to be your reality. Pelvic floor PT can identify exactly why it's happening and give you a plan to reduce or eliminate it before and after delivery.
As your baby grows and your center of gravity shifts, pelvic girdle pain and hip discomfort can become debilitating if left unaddressed. A hands-on evaluation lets us identify the specific muscles and joints driving your pain and create a plan that keeps you moving comfortably.
Learning how to correctly relax and coordinate your pelvic floor during the pushing stage of labor is one of the most impactful things you can do before your due date. We'll walk through exactly how to do this during your evaluation.
Most women are told to "just do Kegels," but Kegels are the wrong tool for many pelvic floor problems โ€” especially an overly tight pelvic floor, which is very common in pregnancy. Your evaluation will give you a clear, personalized picture of what's actually happening.
Whether your first birth involved tearing, a long pushing stage, or a difficult recovery, we can use that history to build a specific preparation plan for this pregnancy. You don't have to go into it hoping for better โ€” you can prepare for better.

    Your Evaluation, Step by Step

What Actually Happens at Your Appointment

You'll walk in knowing nothing, and you'll walk out with a real assessment, real answers, and a real plan. Tap each step to learn more.

    01
    Your Full History
A real conversation, not a checkbox form.
    02
    Hands-On Assessment
Evaluation of your pelvic floor, posture, and movement.
    03
    Birth Prep Education
Learn how to push, breathe, and protect your pelvic floor.
    04
    Your Personal Plan
Leave with a clear, written plan for pregnancy and postpartum.

Before anything else, Bridget takes the time to understand your pregnancy, your history, and your goals. Have you had pelvic issues before? How is this pregnancy comparing to a previous one? What are you most worried about for birth? This is a real conversation that shapes everything else in your appointment.

Bridget will conduct a thorough hands-on assessment of your pelvic floor function, core coordination, posture, and how your body is adapting to pregnancy. This gives her the clinical picture that no questionnaire can provide โ€” including whether your pelvic floor is too tight, too weak, or simply uncoordinated โ€” so any recommendations she makes are specific to you.

One of the most valuable parts of your evaluation is learning how your pelvic floor needs to behave during labor and delivery. Bridget will walk you through breathing strategies, optimal pushing positions, and how to relax your pelvic floor at the right moment โ€” information that can meaningfully reduce your risk of tearing and make your pushing stage more effective.

You'll leave with a written, personalized plan covering what to work on during the rest of your pregnancy, how to approach your birth, and what to prioritize in your postpartum recovery. No vague advice. No "just do Kegels." A plan built around your body and your specific situation.

    About Bridget

Bridget is the founder of EmpowerHer Pelvic Therapy in Henderson, Nevada, and has spent her career specializing in one thing: helping women feel strong and confident in their bodies again. She built this practice around the belief that every woman deserves individualized, unhurried, evidence-based care โ€” not a rushed visit that leaves you with more questions than answers.

Her approach to pregnancy care is rooted in the idea that birth preparation is not just about getting the nursery ready. It's about understanding your own body, knowing what your pelvic floor needs to do during labor, and having a clear plan for both delivery and recovery. Bridget has guided hundreds of women through exactly this process, and she brings the same depth of attention to every patient she sees.

Whether you're navigating your first pregnancy or your third, dealing with symptoms you've been told are "just normal," or simply wanting to feel more prepared and less anxious about birth, Bridget meets you exactly where you are.

Your Body is Doing Something Extraordinary. Let's Make Sure It's Ready. ๐Ÿ’œ

Most women spend their entire pregnancy focused on the nursery, the baby shower, and the hospital bag. Far fewer take even one hour to prepare their own body for birth. This evaluation is that hour โ€” and it may be the most important appointment you schedule before your due date.
